History
Laurette Tremblay naquit en 1908 à Albanel, au Lac-St-Jean. À 17 ans, elle devient institutrice. Elle émigre en Abitibi en 1932. C'est en 1943 qu'elle épouse Eugène Bélanger. Plus tard, elle suivit son mari à Chibougamau et y enseigna. Le couple élève six enfants. Elle décède à Chibougamau en 1999 à l'âge de 91 ans.
